1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Repair Question

I have a question about my 1996 olds cutlass supreme sl 3.1
its leaking antifreeze out of the overlfow tank, it drains in about 2 weeks, the oil isnt milky and the radiator is fine. there isnt a unusual amount of smoke coming out of the tail pipe. the antifreeze is coming out from under where the water pump is, and a little bit seems like it was leaking on the opposite side of the front of the engine, i was thinking it might have just splashed. does that sound like a head gasket or water pump? Thanks

It could be both, it could be either one. Your best bet is to buy some cooling system leak detector dye and rent or borrow and black light. Run the engine for a few minutes and run the black light around. The leak will be apparent by the presence of a bright fluorescent color.
