If you can pat the gas and it will pick up and go but will fail again . after 3 or so times it will not start again til it sets for 20 min or so. I replaced the fuel filter already . Getting ready to replace fuel pump but hoped you coul;d tell me something I havent thought of . I had just put a new head gasket on it it could the mechanic accidentally caused and electric short. It seems to me that the pump can not keep up when demand increases after accelleration or is getting hot and has to cool down due to ba short . Is there a way to diagnose fuel pump
