Is there a way to bypass the A/C compressor temporarily?

There is a loud noise coming from the passenger side of the car under the hood was told it was a/c compressor needed replacement was wondering is there a temporary fix for this(a way to do without the ac unit)?

Hi:

I think I just read your other post. If the compressor is bad, check to see if there is a pulley replacement for your vehicle. Also, check the belt routing diagram. AC was an option, so there should be two different ways to route the belt. See if you can get away with just removing the compressor.
