I don't know what to do next? I had a new starter put in my 1996 Chevy Cavalier and at first everything was fine except sometimes it wouldn't start in park but it would in neutral. Then it started only starting if I unlocked all the doors. Now its not starting at all and I have people telling me a bunch of different things are wrong with it and I would like to get your opinion. I have tried unconnecting the battery a few times 30 min each time, I have tried the turn the key leave it on for 10 min turn it off do it 3 times (i have tried this one the most) and I have tried to jump the battery. Now I have people telling me it could be 3 possible thinks, dead battery, fried computer, or some neutral safety switch under my break? Could you please give me your advice on what I should do next

well, the first symptom you mention sounds like neutral safety switch on transmission.
