I am replacing the transmission on my daughter 95 Saturn.I was told to remove engine and transmission to get and replace together. The problem I'm having is the shift linkage going to transmission where it connects to transmission there is a plastic coupler that joins cable from inside to cable on transmission. How do I take this coupler apart can't get to the clips that hole it together. Any ideas.

You only remove the transmission it comes out the bottom. You use a engine support and remove the subframe and the transmission comes out the bottom. The cable comes out of the transmission by pushing the retaining tabs to the side and the cable slides out.
