My 95 jeep Cherokee has a very weak dragging crank in the morning or after sitting a while. When it's hot there is no problem. Battery checks out good and the alternator was replaced 3 months ago. Do I have a starter problem?

Short out the starter motor solenoid if it engages the engine and drags a few secs or so-starter motor overunning clutch is slipping -starter motor replacement in order of repair
