1995 Honda Accord mileage: 150,000. The transmission starts out in second gear it will not shift into third or overdrive. It has a sport light on the dash coming on for the sport or normal transmission function. The light does not go out when I push it to normal setting. It will start out okay if I manually put it in low gear then shift it to second gear. However, it will not shift into third or fourth. Any suggestions on it? I am an autotech but I have little information on this auto.

Hello,

It sounds like there is an issue with the transmission valve body.
It is likely not producing sufficient pressure to perform the shifts.
The valve body has pressure regulator built in that helps with keeping the fluid pressure at a certain level.
Typically, the issue will happen on higher gear similar to what you are experiencing.
Any time you have shifting issue it is a good idea to make sure the transmission fluid is at correct level and is in good condition.
