I have a 1994 camrey and it will get 1st and 2nd but will not get 3rd gear and this morning when I went to start it up my millege gage went all the way up to 140 without me moving please help what do you think the problem is.

Start with a scan for any unresolved fault codes, check trans oil level & condition, the speedo problem may be a bad earth or a faulty speed sensor, a scan will show any sensor issue, start here.
