My Speedometer and Odometer have been screwing up, they wont work for about 20 minutes. Plus I think my rpms are off. Is it due to cold? They start working after ive been out awhile.

Extreme cold can affect sensors, has this only been since the onset of cold weather?

It didnt happen last winter. But it only started messing up two days ago. My family says its the speed sensor, and my friend thinks that it could just be the cold weather. But it seems to be driven a little different, and I think the rpms meter could be displaying the wrong thing too, I was sitting idle and it said I was had 1000 rpms, is that right?

The speed sensor may be faulty, you can get the engine revs checked with a scanner and compair with what your tacho is reading, the scanner will also pick up any problem with the speed sensor, get this done first.

Your local mechanic should be quite able to do these simple checks.
