1994 Chevrolet S-10 AC compressor

My AC compressor makes an awful noise whenever I engage the fan. This occurs when its ac or heat or just the fan in the vent mode.
It is still blowing cold air.

Could be the compressor is on its way out-get an AC pro to check it out

If does it in all modes, it doesn't sound like the compressor. Are you sure it isn't the blower motor itself?
