My car makes an abnormal noise but only when I press on the gas pedal-the only way to describe the noise is a whirring sound and it is also leaking some sort of fluid plus when I shift into reverse it takes a minute before it'll get in gear and when it does it does it roughly and ******" into reverse so to speak.I do have an older car- a 1993 Saturn Sl2-but I am quite baffled by this since I just got $1300 worth of work done on it in November such as oil change/filter, coolant flush, air filter, motor mount replacement, spark plugs, starter, valve cover gasket and last month the oil was drained and engine was cleaned or flushed out because a tad of an unknown chemical got put in engine since it was in an oil bottle. But it has been running great since November and ran great all day today but all of a sudden what I described above happened this evening. What is wrong? Transmission? Oh also in the past I have smelled a burning smell and heard a clicking noise coming from where emergency brake is and my cars computer system is messed up I think cuz at times certain things will work and others they won, t like the bell that dings when door is ajar, the seatbelt sliding sound, etc. And finally once in a while check engine light will come on then goes off in 5 to 10 minutes or after I shut off car and restart it. What, s going on with my car?

The whiring sounds is probably low transmission fluid when the fluid gets low it will almost make a whistling noise when stepping on the gas. Also what color is the fluid leaking? If its red its transmission fluid. The low fluid could cause a delay in reverse lets start by seeing if the fluid level is low. The clicking under the ebrake would be the seat belt module there is relays in it that send power to the seat belt motors. The only time the chime sounds when you open the door is when you leave your head lights on or your key in the ignition. Have you checked for codes yet to see why the light is on.
