1993 Honda Accord Repair Question

My starter will only let me turn it on and it runs as long as i keep it pushed forward to the start position, as soon as i turn it on and let go of

As soon as I turn it on and let go of key like normal that it cuts off. when i keep the key pushed fwrd in the start position it turns over and runs, it just does try to keep starting. Please help on what to buy so my dad can fix.

So after it starts and you turn the key to the run position the engine will shut off?

The ignition switch is bad and has to be replaced. Refer o link.

Only this part is required to be replaced and you need not remove the complete lock ass as shown. After removal of the column cover, you can remove the switch by removing the 2 small hex heads holding the switch. Remember to disconnect the battery negative terminal.
