When I put key to on postion the heat gauge jumps all the way to 125 red zone. What could cause this? Also check engine light is on along with low coolant. Where is the fuel pump located and how difficult is it to repair I just purchesed this car yesterday and im hoping the lights on the dash isnt going to be a big problem

Heat gauge cold be the wire going to sensor is grounding out someplace or a bad dash. For check engine light scan for codes auto parts do for free. Fuel pump is in the tank and the tank must be dropped.
