I have a 1992 firebird, I just replaced the heater core but I messed up and broke a vacuum line, question I have I know where the vacuum line goes to (vacuum check valve), not sure where to look where it comes from or the broke point, can you help me find the location?

I have tried to use a flash light and broke off about a 6 inch in length, vacuum hose from the top of the vacuum check valve, I would like to locate the broke end of the vacuum so I can mend it and attach the broke end to the vacuum check valve.

There should be a vacuum diagram under the hood. Without being able to see the broken part, it's almost impossible to give you an idea of where to look, although it should be somewhere near the broken part.
