what else can I do to make my car start?

I have a 92 ford mustang. Thermostat got stuck, car over heated-not severe, and I ran out of gas. Changed thermostat, replaced fuel pump. Car sounds like it wants to crank over but wont.

you may have blown a head gasket . first, check the fuel pressure. then you will need a leak down test to verify the head gasket.

water and gas do not mix well
