My ford escort died while I was driving. I WAS LOW ON FUEL AND WHEN I TURNED IT OVER A MESSAGE ON THE DASH SAID FUEL CUT OUT . I ADDED GAS AND IT STILL WILL NOT START AND THE SAME MESSAGE COMES UP ON THE DASH.

Stay in your original post-do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse, fuel pump relay, inertia switch and fuel pump
