1992 Chevrolet Suburban Repair Question

The radiator has 3 sections - pass-side (tranny cooler), center (regular radiator) & driver-side (crankcase oil cooler). The crankcase cooler has an opening at the top & at the bottom. Which of the 2 does the "return oil" line connect to? Top or Bottom?
I have a '92 Suburban w/towing package. I'm installing a auxiliary crankcase oil cooler in front of the radiator. oil is forced from lower to upper the top is the return ither one will flow
