1997 Chevy Suburban Hard to shift out of park?

1997 Suburban.
My Suburban has become hard to shift from park. It is not all the time, but more times than not. It will eventually go, but not after turning the steering wheel back and forth, jiggling the shifter and working the brake. I'm not sure which one is the magic trick.
The truck runs and shifts fine, the shifter just gets hung up in park.
Any idea?
