I tried to pull a vacuum on my cruise control servo. When I did the vacuum It wouldnt even read the vacuum. I pulled one of the hoses and put my finger on it and it was holding the vacuum. Does this mean the servo is bad. Is their a way of rebuilding it. Also I did it with the car off. Does the car need to be turned on or does it need to be at the point before you start. Thanks.

If you're trying to make the diaphragm pull the throttle cable, it better not do that unless you electrically activate the vacuum solenoid, otherwise it would always be applying anytime the engine was running.
