1992 cadillac deville

On the 1992 cadillac deville cruise control. There is a white box that connects all the wires. You have to take off a black piece with a 7mm nut in the center of it to get to the box. The box is located on the driver side against the fire wall that has a lot of wires that connect to the back of it. My question is how often does that box go bad. Also the white box has a lot of conectors sticking out of it once you pull the black box off. If you would like I can take a picture of the box and show you what im talking about. Thanks.

I unbolted it. I was wondering if the white peice with the tips could go bad.

I would think not. They look rigid and in good condition.

Ok I had another cruise control lever and hooked it up and it still didn't work. I also had another wire switch hat hooks up to the white box and it runs up the steering collum and conects to the cruise control. That didn't work either.
