Hi I have a 92 buick park ave. Everytime I get into the gas pedal it spits, sputters, and backfires. Now if I ease into it slightly it runs fine. But its hard for me to accelerate fast with this problem making it unsafe for the family. I did replace the fuel pump not the problem. Any ideas for my vehicle problem?

Try cleaning MAF sensor and maybe take a fuel pressure test.
