How do mice get into the htr.& Air ducting compartment of my pickup? When the weather starts getting cooler they build a nest in the squirrel cage fan of the heater motor.I would like to know where they gain entrance so that I could possibly discourage them.I have come close to starting a fire in that area because of all the crap they store in there.I'm also getting tired of having to take the glove compartment & the rest of that area apart to clean out all the debris. Any help with this issue would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Mice can get to anywhere easily but when all doors are closed, they have very little means of access. The most common entry point would be the fresh air vent under the wiper panel. It leads to the blower motor. If the fresh air vent is closed and set to recirculating, that should eliminate the source.
