Electrical/will not start

I have a 91 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with 123,907 miles on it. It has a 3.3 liter engine and will not start. With the key off the following works electric locks, dome/map/glove box lights, horn, cigarette lighter, 4 way flashers, electric mirrors, head and tail lights, and tailgate lock. With the key on the following does not work wipers front and rear, radio, instruments/instrument warning lights, and turn signals. With the key on the following works power windows, electric locks, heater, rear defogger 4 way flashers head/tail lights horn cigarette lighter, power mirrors, warnining buzzer for lights/key, and tailgate lock.

All of the dead circuits have the ignition switch in common. Check for overheated contacts and terminals in the switch connector. Darkened terminals can be cut out of the melted plastic connector body and be replaced individually. About 4 inches of wire should also be replaced on the two overheated wires. Those sections will be stiff and difficult to solder to.
