I own a 91 s10 4.3 fuel injection and went to leave my buddys house one day and it would just turn over but would not start. I changed the spark plug wires and the spark plugs, and the fuel filter and still nothing. So I changed the fuel pump and it cranks now for about 12 secs and it dies. Have no clue what it could be. I changed the fuel pump relay after I changed the fuel pump and still nothing. I dont know if its a bad ignition control module or what. Plz any suggestions would be helful

When the engine dies after 12 minutes, does it restart or do you have to wait? This could be a few different things. It could be ignition related, but I feel it is fuel related. Check the spider to see if it is working properly.

It runs for 12 seconds but no it fires right back up. I doubled checked the fuel pump everything is hooked up right I just am fed up at this point lol. And could one of my fuel injectors be clogged up or bad? Or maybe fuel pressure regulator. I mean couple more parts to replace and ill have a brand new truck lol. But thanks for the response. Every little bit helps

I don't know why, but this just showed up in my mail. Sorry it has been so long. Have you had any luck with the issue?
