The problem is the car wont stay running when accelorating.I have changed the fuel regulator, spark plus, and wires cleaned it up. It will run when idleing but when you give it gas it wants to die. Also it wont rev up past 2

Ok did the code check and it came back saying check the maf/map. Really don't know what that means. Had a very hard time keeping it running had to spray starting fluid in the throttle body to keep it running. Have not yet checked the cat that for me is the last thing. What else can be tried? Why is it I can sray fluid in the throttle body and it will run as long as I want buy if I cut the fluid off it will idle but wont eccelerate. Can barely get the rpms up to 3. What next? Please help. Thank you

When the car is running with the scanner on it. The throttle censor reads 0.54 volts and the massair flow censor reads 13gr/seconds. Now with the engine off the massair flow censor reads 3gr/seconds and the throttle censor reads 0.52 volts. Thats all I know.I do know the check engine light is on. Ok i'm almost sure I gotta change the fuel pump out. Can I install an exterior fuel pump for a ford p/u with the same psi and gallons per hr without removing the old fuel pump? Please help. Thank you

Can your scanner read the map readings into volts and give me those readings?I dont know the gr readings sorry. Also why do you think the fuel pump is causing a low voltage code for the map sensor? That doesnt make sense to me also why do you think the fuel pump is bad.A bad map sensor or map sensor will cause these problems.

No the scanner can't because this car don't come with a map censor. It only read in volts for the massair flow censor.I'm asking about the fuel pump because I did a fuel pressure test and it gave only 8 psi when I know it should be giving at lease 40-49 psi. Wouldn't this be a fuel pump issue? Can I still instal an exterior fuel pump for this car thats for a ford p/u as long as its the same psi and gallons per hr?Please let me know. Thank you.

Ok if the car starts start it with a fuel pressure guage on it and smack the gas tank with the palm of your hand in the middle of the tank while someone watches the fuel pressure see if the pressure goes up. If the car doesnt start have the gauge on there while someone is cranking it while you smack the tank see if the pressure goes up. Also I dont agree with you putting a fuel pump on the rail of the car.I say if we find it needs a pump then replace the pump the correct way with the correct pump.
