Having idling problems w/ jeep. please help

I'm looking at buying a 1989 wrangler with. What the guy says has rebuild with about 30,000 miles on the v6 5 spd trans and when it idles it'll idle fine for 10 Sec and then the rpms drop for about 2 Sec and then go back to normal and repeat again. The guy says that after its "warmed up" it doesn't do it but I want to know what exactly it is so I can fix it and not have to worry about anymore problems.

Such symptoms are usually an indication of the idle control system not functioning correctly. If no trouble codes are present, cleaning the idle control system, ie throttle body and IAC would most probably resolve the problem.

SORTA HARD TO FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU HAVE

I DON'T RECALL AN '89 WRANGLER WITH A V-6

I THOUGHT THEY EITHER HAD A 150 4 CYLINDER OR A 258 INLINE 6 CYLINDER

STILL CARBURETED IF I RECALL CORRECTLY...I'M MORE OF A CJ GUY

IS THIS SOME SORTA MODIFICATION OR IS IT JUST THAT YOU HAVE SUBMITTED INCORRECT INFO FOR THE VEHICLE???
