Good morning, my name is Joe I am about to attempt a 5speed swap on my 89 Mustang 5.0 (AUTO) Lx I have a complete parts car as a donor it all looks fairly straightforward. People tell me that the clutch pedal assembly is the hardest part. Has anybody done one of these? And can anybody give me any helpful pointers or tips on what to expect in this part of the swap? Thank you!

Expect shoulder pain, back pain, neck pain, and head pain. Possibly hips, too.

Once you get everything cleared out of the way, it is fairly straightforward. I would highly recommend taking high res photos of both assemblies and getting the blown up so everything is easier to see and refer to. Also, buy a motor manual-Chilton's or Haynes. They run about 20 bucks last I checked and are invaluable.
