My engine stalled when I was driving to work?

The truck dyed on my like it was out of gas and it would not restart on it own it will start with ether but will not stay running I am at a loos and help would be helpful and thank you

You need to use a fuel pressure gauge to test the fuel pressure. If the pressure is not within spec, then you need to verify power arriving at the pump during the first 2 seconds of "key on" and again during cranking.
The spec is Key on engine off 50-60 psi
key on engine running 45-60 psi

This system uses 2 pumps, one for pressure in the fuel rail and one for supply inside the tank.

This kind of sounds like a fuel pump or the crankshaft angle sensor has gone out. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?
