Parking brake will not disengage when shifting to reverse. There is no suction when vacuum hose is disconnected.

How about when you put it in drive? It may be the neutral saftey switch which controls this operation.

When I shift out of park, I have to manually disengage parking brake under dash by pulling lever. Also, I'm not getting any vacuum when I take hose off EGR.

Egr has nothing to do with it.

It sounds like the vacuum switch under the dash on top of the column has failed. Get a shop to confirm and give you a bid.

Those vacuem valves where always failing. The neutral switch is on the trans by the shift cable. That is where the vacuem lines are

This switch is on the trans right where the shift cable hooks to the neutral switch hooks up on trans their. Youll see the vacuum hoses. Check for vacuem going through to the release valve their.
