Why does starter stay engaged after ignetion switch is turned off, and wont start engine, we replaced started, selonoid.

Could be a bad ignition switch or the starter may not be mounted correctly, or the wires are on wrong

Check the ingnition switch on the steering column for proper voltage and for start signal. When u hold the key in the start poss. If ok test for power at the starter soliniod when u hold the key in start poss.

We put in a new ignition switct and checked all the wires

Do u get a start signal at the ingition switch and to the soloniod s terminal when the key is in the start poss.
