Nissian trouble

We have a 1985 nissian it will not start, or if it does start with will only run for a bout 30 sec. And then cut off, if you press the gas it will cut off right away

Start by checking the fuel pressure, fuel pump could be on its way out

Just put a new fuel pump on it. What else do you have. We also tried spraying carb. Cleaner directly into the vaccum line and it stayed running as long as he kept spraying. But when he stopped so did the car.
