Changing belts on a 1982 subaru

I have a 1982 subaru gl and I need to change the belt for the alternator and water pump. How do I go about do it correctly?

On the left side of the alternator is a lock bolt loosen it up. Then lose the one on the right of the alternator. On the left side of the alternator is a slider bolt. loosen it up by turning it counter clockwise. this will loosen the belt up so it can be taken off and replaced. When replacing with a new one make sure it is in the groves correctly and centered on the pulley. Tighten up the slider bolt until you have appox a quarter of a inch play. then tighten up the alternator bolts. change complete
