Subaru GL Distributor Problem

The ignition system is not producing spark. the driver side timin belt is ok, its got a new coil, a new altenator , I'm at a loss, It's a 1.8 liter carberated engine, manual trans

Check the magnetic pick-up coil and the air gap

is the magnetic pick up coil inside the distributor, and how do I check the air gap. thanks

Its in the distributor and you need a brass feeler gauge to gap between the pick-up and the reluctor-refer to repair manual-
