Steering wheel and center console gear shift lights are not working

I own the SUV listed above Limited. This car has been a great car. As of a few months ago, the steering wheel control lights as well as the center console gear shift lights quit working. All lights on the dash and doors still work fine. Could this be a bulb? Fuse?

Good evening,

As far as the console light, that could be a bulb. If it were more than that, a lot of other lights would not be working.

As fr as the steering wheel lights, it looks like the clock spring could be the issue. I attached diagrams for you to view so you can see what we are talking about.

Thank you. So do you believe the clockspring needs replacing or just possibly has a loose wire?

Clock spring. It is a common failure.

Okay. I didn’t know the lights wiring were ran through the clock spring.

Yes. Look at the diagram I posted. It shows the wire going through the clock spring.
