Hi,

I don't feel it is a concern, but at the same time, I've never seen it before. The idea that it is white could indicate a few things. For example, driving on a damp gravel road. Something of an oil base has mixed with oil, or since the vehicle is new, it could be grease from production.

If you wash it off, does it return? If it does, I would recommend having a dealer inspect them to see what it could be. It looks like the dust cover at the rear of the rotor is white as well.

Let me know your thoughts or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Good morning, Joe,

Thank you for the response.

1. Could it be from a car wash that cleans the rims?
2. Is it damaging to the brakes/ brake system.
3. It’s actually on all 4 of them.
4. I’m having a dealer meeting today but I’m not sure how to explain to them.

Hi,

Absolutely, it can be caused by a cleaning product. If that is in fact the cause, I wouldn't think it is damaging in any way.

I'm not sure what is being used to clean them but avoid having it done for a short time. Take and clean it from the wheels to see if it returns only after having the cleaning done again.

Let me know what you find or if there is anything I can do to help.

Take care,

joe
