When to do a change of antifreeze

I want to know when is a good idea to change the antifreeze, and is a flush a good thing too? What type of antifreeze do I use? Thanks

Our manual just states long life or equivalent which would be Dex-cool that has to be changed every five years. Most manufacturers do not recommend a flush, but you can if you want it is up to you. Pull the lower hose off radiator and you will get a lot of the stuff that is bad out. Just mix it 50/50 antifreeze and good water, or you can buy it already mixed it will take 7.0 quarts.
