What kind of coolant is recommended for this car

Technician at Walmart was going to assist me with adding coolant to my car noticed my coolant in reservoir is orange and the one I bought is green in color. He refuses to add invade not safe. What should I do?

Hi,

Your vehicle came with GM Dex-cool engine coolant. Do not mix green coolant with it. He is correct. If the coolant is original (Dex-cool) you need to use the same type. There are other brands that are a universal type and different in color. However, if you are not sure which to get, just stay with the original type.

The only other concern that I have is if the coolant is still Dex-cool that is in the vehicle. Based on your description, it sounds like it is. However, not being there makes it hard for me to confirm.
