What is missing from this engine? Is it the supercharger?

I am trying to figure out what is missing from this engine that is preventing it from starting. My Mechanic told me the supercharger is missing. Can anyone confirm this from the pictures, or tell me what it would take to get it running?

It is a Studebaker Grand Tourismo

Any information would be much appreciated.
