So I have the vehicle listed above turbo diesel. So the warning lights that are on. Is the ABS light, a light that has picture of a car swerving? That same picture but with a diagonal line on it, and a picture of a car going downhill, maybe something to do with traction. I am not sure. What does this mean? Is it serious and is it safe to drive?

Hey JESSE PASI,

The dash lights you describe point to a problem with the ABS/traction control systems. The light with the car going down hill will be for the hill decent control.

With the warning lights on the systems have a fault. All of these systems use the same sensors and control units in order to operate and a fault anywhere in the system will cause these systems to be disabled.

As these are safety systems, and are not currently working, it is not advisable to drive the vehicle without getting the problem assessed.

The problem could be as small as a wheel speed sensor that has gone bad or a wiring issue but to be sure you need to check for fault codes.

Do you have access to an OBDII fault code reader?

Regards, Joe
