Gas smell in car

What could be the cause of gas smell inside the car? I don't overfill the tank and it lasts about 2, may be 3 days. This happens only when I pump gas and never spill it where it would be obvious that it stinks. Volvo Owners, is this a common problem?

I have had a volvo for about 14 months now (88-240GL) and i've noticed, every once in a while when I filled up, the gas smell)
*On my jeep it was caused by a bad fuel injector leaking. May want to check those.

Your problem most likely is the result of leaks in the over flow lines the vent vapors from your tank. If they are lose then the smell occurrs
