The car will not start - alarm light (drivers side door lock) blinks constantly. Unlock door with key and open - Alarm sounds (horn blows) - put key in ignition alarm silences but car will not start.

Can the alarm be disabled? Is there a chip in the key - that has failed? Just not sure what is wrong - Can anyone help - other than towing it to the dealer?

and if work you have a problem in that door and not the alarm

No did not try trunk, did read how to disable alarm under the dash - take out knee plate. Alarm has 10 pin connector and 6 pin connector - disconnect both and short pins 5 and 6 on the 6 pin connector (red and red/black wires). Car starts and runs fine - no alarm - no big deal. Thanks for all your suggestions and assistance. Thought the information may help someone else in my predicament - dealership told me it was probably the lock assembly on the driver door - stuck in locked and armed position.
