Recently, my car has come up with a problem.

when you first start the car, the windows are not responsive. After a minute, they work fine. I am worried this is the start of a major problem. What could be the cause of this?

Hi benifactor, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation and your patience waiting for an answer

If the battery and alternator is doing its job-I recommend you check for loose connections at the driver's door control module and the driver's side power window switch

It is the same on all doors (no power initially), so I don't think that is the problem.

Also, when the car is running, and the window is all the way up, and I press up on the control the head lights dim.

There is no power loss or anything of that nature, just for the first thirty seconds or so the window control produces nothing. After that, it works just fine.

Get the battery and alternator checked out-the window takes a lot of electrical load. Have you check for loose connection on the module/switch as I mentioned earlier-this one here can be nightmare over the internet I'm not with the vehicle. I've viewed the electrical path on the power windows there's not that much to it-
