Hi Does your engine look like the one in the attached picture? Many new cars have a cosmetic engine cover that would have to be removed in order to do even the simplest service. I think in your case you will have to remove 2 covers to access the spark plugs. You may need a special tool to extract the plugs. I am no mechanic but in my opinion the sparks plugs must be as shown in the picture. 3 at the back side and 3 on the front side. For a four cylinder you should have all four on the front but I think the six cylinders are staggered as opposed to being in line. The covers are marked with red arrows and the plug in green I hope this helps.

The cosmetic cover must first be removed. Turn the clips 90 degrees with a phillips screwdriver. Disconnect the connector to the coil that is on each sparkplug (do only one at a time). Get a small screwdriver pry bar and gently lift the coil off the sparkplug. Intert your sparkplug socket down in the hole and break the plug free. Blow out the hole with compressed air. Remove the plug, gap the new one, install it. Gently push the coil back on the plug. Connect the coil. Go on to the next one.
