2001 Volkswagen Jetta Putters like I'm running out of gas?

Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Automatic 205000 miles

So, when I'm idle, my rpms will float up and down and it shakes like when you're going up a rollercoaster hill. Or like I'm running out of gas. It doesn't want to accelerate, and when I try to accelerate then the check engine light starts to blink and it shakes really bad, barely can get the car over 40mph.

Whats going on with it?

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

Ive already done that. All it said was cyl 2 misfire.

.I was like, duh. Lol

Check spark plug/wire, fuel injector and compression on #2 cylinder.
