Recently there was some rain so I go to open my car and find that the whole passenger side is filled with water - water on the floor on passeger side and in the back, under the visor on the front. So looks like something is leaking, either sun roof or the door seal. What would you suggest for troubleshooting and repair? The problem just manifested itself in a rather nasty light.

Had the same problem with my 2002. The rubber drains in the door are clogged. You can clean them out or cut them off. I cut mine off and have never had another problem with it. Take a razor blade and slice it close to the end. A lot of gunk came out of mine and then the water ran out. The hoses are located close to the door hinges.

Bama, actually that is also what VW suggested, the guy at the parts counter was cool and didn't tell me to go to the service dept. I cut them and got a little gunk on one side, there was some water that drained out, maybe about 4 ounces from each side. Looking at the water it doesn't seem as much as leaked inside last time it rained but I'll monitor it, I opened up the flow now so it should be better.
Thanks for the advice!
