Hope I can help with this!

This fault is stored when there is no communication between the sensor ( G40 ) and the engine control unit. This would indicate either a wiring fault between the two, or a faulty sensor.

Check the wiring for continuity or for any damage ( chaffing ) and this may be your fault.
