Hi
Hope I can help with this.

Does the vehicle lack power at all or have any flat spots when trying to accelerate?

Also, is the vehicle difficult to start at all, in hot or cold weather?

Any further info would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi
Thanks for info.

Do you notice any excessive black smoke from the exhaust when you accelerate? This is unburnt diesel that is being passed through the engine to the exhaust.
A possible cause of higher fuel consumption is the air mass meter, or mass air flow sensor. On a diesel, if this sensor begins to fail, it can cause the engine to overfuel and cause higher fuel consumption.

Another option is too check all the vacuum hoses and pipes on the engine and eliminate any air leaks.

Finally, the engine temperature sender can also cause overfuelling if its becoming faulty. This can also lead to difficult starting when cold.

Are there any amber or red warning lights up on dash display?

Hope this helps!
