My golf driver won't go into 4th gear and is drinking loads of petrol what could be the problem?

Hi there,

This may be a valve problem with in the transmission, running around in 3rd gear will be heavy on fuel, go get a test and report from a transmission specialist, hopefully this may only be a solenoid or a sticky shift vale problem.
