2006 Volkswagen Beetle coolant light comes on

My coolant light comes on and then goes off after I have been driving for about 1 minute. Why? Do I need fix it?

Does it stay on or go back off? Does it ever come back on the go off while driving later in the day? Have you checked the coolant level to be sure itis full?

It go back off after 1 min.
It never come back on the go off while driving later in the day. But, it be back on if I stop car over 2 hour.
I checked the coolant level. It higher than the min level line.

If the level is good it is probably a bad coolant level sensor. Check to be sure the connections are good on the plug, otherwise it is probably the sensor
