Hello, I have a 1972 vw beetle, and it has a generator to run the engine. I was wondering why I have to boost the car to start it? Is the battery going? Or is the generator going? Thank you.

Hi there,

There is a regulator under the rear seat, this may be out of adjustment or faulty, the battery may be defective and the generator may also be at fault, you will need to get all three tested to find the fault.
